Hathras Gang Rape Case: Kriti Sanon Calls It 'Gut-Wrenching'; Asks For Punishment, 'Death By Hanging? Shot In The Head? Death By Stoning In Public?
The brutal Hathras gang rape has picked a momentum on social media. Apart from laymen, celebrities are also expressing their rage and disgust over this heinous act. Stars like Akshay Kumar, Kangana Ranaut, Farhan Akhtar, Huma Qureshi and many more have taken to their social media handles and expressed their anger over this matter. Joining the list, actress Kriti Sanon recently took to her Twitter handle and said that the news wrenched her gut and made her angry. She even raised questions asking when will the monsters fear their consequences. For the uninitiated, a 19-year-old Dalit woman from Uttar Pradesh was reportedly gang-raped in Hathras by four men on September 14. She died today in the hospital. 
 
After coming across this news, the Housefull 4 actress wrote, "Gut-wrenching!! Angry! When will these MONSTERS fear the consequences of such inhuman acts?? I cannot think of a punishment that would be enough for such brutality!! Death by hanging? Shot in the head? death by stoning in public? Somehow still feels less than what they deserve!!" Reportedly, her spinal cord and neck were broken, and her tongue was cut off. She later succumbed to her injuries in Safdarjang Hospital, Delhi. The gang rape news came out when the victim gave her statement to the police after a week into hospitalisation. 
 
Confirming this, the victim’s brother told TOI that they got the information about her death at 6 am. “We want justice for her. The accused should not be spared. They must be hanged,” he said. It is also reported that the accused are being arrested by the police and Rs. 4.12 lakhs have been given to the victim's kin as compensation.
